Butch Camp (1996) is the story of Matt Brabowski, who is "the 90 pound weakling in just about every area of his life. He sleeps alone while his roommate has sexual events, and cheats him. At his job, he is yelled at and expected to do all the "dirty work" including entertain the bank customers. Heck, Matt cant even go into a bookstore without getting into a situation where hs is nearly beatten up.

In addition, to being too easy to abuse, he is not only closeted, but "not getting any" and so it is that he decides that maybe he needs to change his life. Which is about the time he finds the flyer for Butch Camp.

Butch Camp is run by Samantha Roitweller, played by Judy Tuneto. Judy aptly plays the part of a butch lesbian who's goal in life is to toughen up this bunch of sissy boys, and help them fight the enemy...the heteros (or as she calls them...the hetero whores). Homework includes trips to straight bars where the hilarity of watching Matt try and fit in is priceless.

Of course by the end of the movie, Matt learns to stand up for himself, turns out to be the hero, and even manages to get a little romance in his life. A fairly enjoyable movie. I was especially happy to see Judy Tenuto again. I remember her from years past as an accordian playing, yelling, comediene. She swashbuckles her way throught this movie, spewing sexually charged humour with her usual verve. She was ideal for her part in this movie. Check it out, folks, you might just find yourself royally entertained.
