the night of July 11 at Forbidden in Cookeville
Well, this weekend looks like it was "old home weekend"...as I saw three relatives, one I hadnt seen in about 10-15 years, the other about 35-40 years if not longer. In addition, however, when I went to Forbidden in Vickie Mode, I ran into someone I knew in two ways. One, he and I went to school together. I remember him as living in an orphanage, and being somewhat unique. The next thing I remember him from is the early days of my dressing when I was doing drag. I was with Roy at that point, and Danny showed up as a fellow drag queen in some performances at Victor Victoria's and in fact I saw him socially a few times. However, since then there has been another gap of years. Interesting seeing him, and the pictures of me were done by him.
The other two pictures were from the show. The first one is a fairly new girl who is working on her craft and has promise of becoming quite good with practice. I loved this outfit she was wearing which looked better in person btw. The second girl was doing a 20s song...but wearing a mini-skirt. She was beaufiul doing it, but I kept thinking she needed a flapper looking outfit to be even better. (oh well, we drag queens always have our ideas..LOL)
