First of all, let it be said that as part of the GLBT community, 2 of the letters in fact, my sensitivity is attune to those communities and thought processes. Many of the movies I will review are either GLBT based for inclusive. The movies I have labeled as "mainstream" have ended up being those devoid of anything with an obvious GLBT theme. For example Loggerheads and Wongfu had a mainstream audience, but on this page they are in the "special interest" section, which is very obviously the GLBT interest. Every reviewer has to decide how to divide their movies if they have divisions at all, and that is my choice right now.
In other words, if you are part of the GLBT community you can trust that my mainstream movies will not have as a primary topic being GLBT, you will find them of interest generally. And if you are not part of the GLBT community, in one way or the other, you can rest assured that anything in special interest section IS related to the GLBT community in a direct, substantive way. But, and I cant imagine that any people in this category would be here to start with, if you are NOT part of the community, and NOT interested to some extent in GLBT issues and story lines, you would be best adviced to stick to the "mainstream" section.
