I dont think I am giving too much away when I say that this movie is a delightful romp thru a summer during which the main character moves from "just out of a relationship". As time goes on he realizes that perhaps his relationship came to an end, not because of any infidelity on the part of his ex-lover, but because the relationship was over at a deeper level.
The summer, rather than being the wild sexual romp, that the title would imply, is actually a sort of coming to grips with who and what he is and what he wants out of life. Yes, there are some "hot" moments, but they truely are "part of the story" not all of it.
The main character is actually the center point for a whole group, most of whom are gay, but not all. Each of the group has its own experence of coming to grips with what they want, and need. Things that would have been seen as disasters at the beginning of the summer, or even while they were happening, are revealed as true blessings as the story unfolds.
This is truely a heart warming movie and I hightly recommend it.
