The Audit is an interesting little piece. It is a film that is abut 30 minutes (at most) long but begs the question "how long does a film have to be". The answer long enought to tell the story. Something that this mini-movie does with a venage.
The four characters are two IRS employees and a young couple. This all looks fairly straight forward until you realize that nothing is what it seems...and you are left wondering at the end, if you are certain what the truth really is.
As you might expect from the title, this film involves an IRS audit. You quickly learn that the couple may not have been exacly honest in all their statements. What is also abundently clear is that the 2 IRS employees are more involved than one might expect as well. It seems there is some history. After watching all the games that get played, I was left with the feeling that not only was honesty not apparent at the beginning, it wasnt at the end either. I also suspected that the "couple" was not happy...I mean after all those sunglasses mean SOMETHING.
I am not sure how difficult it would be to find this film...I saw it on HereTv, the GL network. I looked for it on altavista and couldnt find a link. I would suggest if you run across it, however, that you give serious consideration to seeing it. Especially if you sort of offbeat taste. :)
